Bi-weekly Posy subscription for locals, running from October to May.

In the dreaming phase of what has now become Midlands Flower Fields, I knew I wanted to be able to provide the unique experience of locally and sustainably grown blooms to adorn everyone’s dinning room table, bedside table or office space, that were also beautiful, inspired by country, wild-like blooms, unique varieties that are not commonly seen or acquired.

Your commitment to us for the 2023 season allows us to make the necessary investments to grow all the blooms.

Our monthly subscription is our version of a CSA (community supported agriculture). We appreciate your support!

From our fields to your heart, we hope to have you join us for the 2023 season.

We are looking forward to handing you blooms soon!

Frequently Asked Question

A posy to be delivered every odd 15 days from beginning Mid-September through to Late April.

There are so many to list! Let’s dive into just a few we have in the works for the upcoming season for your bouquets. Each variety, though planned, is subject to the whims of nature. However, each bouquet will be filled with sustainably and beautifully grown blooms. On the odd occasion, we have beauties that are so grand on their own they don’t require to be paired with fillers & foliage. This may not happen often, but sometimes just a simple posy of Delphiniums on their own, or ranunculus on their own makes a bigger statement than a mixed bunch.

Mid-Late Spring

Some late spring favourites we have growing/planned: ranunculus, Duthc irises, Stock, poppies, larkspur, fluffy snapdragons plus numerous filler flowers such as bachelor buttons .… I can go on! Enjoy the luxury blooms of late spring! We may just throw in a small bedside posy with daffidols or grape hyinths.

Summer

As the flowers of spring fade and the days get longer our warm loving flowers come to steal the spotlight! Summer offers fun and whimsical varieties. Specialty cosmos, zinnias, lace flowers, Dahlias, ornamental seed pods: it is the season of texture!

Fall

Fall is when our field goes out with a huge bang and is the biggest show off you’d ever met! Dahlias of various shapes and sizes paired with the beauties of summer, rudbeckia, Statice and Astillbe.

A welcome email or whatsapp will be sent out in September, when the flowers wake up announcing the starting date of the season along with all the nitty gritty details about deliveries!

We are quite particular with the areas in which we deliver, so be sure to make sure your area in included in our zones, under Delivery. If your home happens to be out of our delivery zone, don’t worry,- maybe your work place will. Otherwise you can arrange to leave it somewhere in our delivery zones, at your risk and arrangements, or collect from Rotunda Farmstall. Please note that we do not drive along dirt roads either. If you have one, we will wait at the end of it for you to collect.

Though we follow organic growing practices we are not certified organic and cannot legally call our products organic. We believe in adding to the earth’s health rather than depleting it. We have been working on healing the patch of dirt that is now our cut flower and market garden- it is so wonderful seeing life there!

We use all certified products such as fertilizer, compost and pesticides. We try to limit the use of pesticides and rather prefer keeping a healthy patch with proper crop rotation, hand picking of pests, naturally attracting beneficial insects and building the soil’s health. We are slowly getting ready to go for a no-till approach to growing which is a big step for a commercial garden! We have everything on drip irrigation to use less water while providing the optimal amount needed for a healthy crop.

With advanced notice we have some options:

  • Depending on the time of the season we can double up a week or roll over one additional week.
  • You can gift them to a loved one or friend, please give us a name to put on the list
  • We will happily donate them to an individual in need of a cheery pick-me-up.

We understand life happens! The first time we will replace them complimentarily by adding a week to your subscription. If you forget and are elsewhere in town we may be able to coordinate getting your bouquet to you the same or following day depending on our schedule. After the first oops, the flowers are discarded, and no refund is issued. If you happen to not be home when deliveries are being done, please let us know via whatsapp, You will need to put a clean bucket filled with fresh water somewhere in a shady spot that we can find. Your bouquet will be waiting for you when you get home.

Flowers can be fussy! Contact us within 24 hours with photo and let’s problem solve! We will replace them complimentarily the first time, after that we need to figure out what’s going on with the care of the blooms and how we can better tackle that. Usually, the cause is that the flowers have been left out of water in the heat too long. Some of the warm loving blooms do not love the commercial food but we also have a recipe to quickly make your own. The biggest key is to keep them in fresh water and watch them the first few days. Local flowers are different than store bought in that they still think they are very much alive and will drink a lot of water.

Super simple, just WhatsApp me and let me know, 48 hours prior to delivery day. This will be charged on the credit card details you provide.

Absolutely! Just provide us the details of the person you are sharing your posy with.

In the welcome email we will send you our care guide.

Absolutely, as long as the weather plays nice! In the past, we have offered additional bouquets on a weekly basis if Jack Frost decides not to greet us for longer than anticipated.

Some seasons mother nature is exceptionally weird or harsh and we sometimes do experience crop gaps, typically in early Spring. Though we try our best to avoid that situation, failures and gaps do happen. In the case we have to cancel or put deliveries on hold. We will add the delivery to the end of the season or double up one week of our choice.

We get that unforeseen circumstances occur. We would require up to 14 days’ notice of a permeant subscription cancellation. Unfortunately, we typically cannot cancel and refund your subscription less than 14 days to your next delivery as we would in most cases have turned away business for new subscription members. You can absolutely transfer it to a loved one, friend or donate the remainder of your share. Please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can figure out what is the best action to take with your unique situation.

While we do our very best to protect your flowers on their journey to you, very occasionally they can have a bad trip. Please contact us with 1-2 photos of the stems you’re worried about so we can take care of this for you.

If you’re picking up your posy from Rotunda farmstall, you will need to bring a clean bucket, filled with a few inches of fresh water. Bouquets do not include buckets or vases.

Monthly subscriptions do not come with a vase, but after you have supported us for 4 consecutive months, a once-off free, tall vase will be given.

Sorry, we can’t promise a particular colour palette or specific flower since availability can change from week to week depending on flower bloom time and weather. But I can promise that your bouquet will be filled with the freshest blooms currently growing in the fields. We always try to tailor make the experience, so be sure to tell us your favourite colour or flowers and we might just place those in your posy.

All flowers for posy are freshly harvested the day before or morning of pickup/delivery to ensure that you have the longest vase life possible! Flower care instructions will be included in an email.

Sorry, at this time our farm isn’t open to the public. We are, however, working on providing some open days in the future. We’ll be sure to post that information on Social Media, so make sure you follow up on Instagram and Facebook

The longevity of the different varieties in each bouquet ranges from four days for Dahlias to over two weeks for Zinnias or Ranunculus (heck, the mint might even try and set roots. You can pot it up and grow it then!)

We’ll charge your credit card as soon as you make your first purchase and from then on you’ll be charged three days before the next bouquet arrives.

We will contact you via WhatsApp to notify you of your invalid card, and payment will need to be made soonest to confirm your posy being delivered that time around.
